The 1974 binding world championship was the sixth tournament in this discipline of carom billiards and took place from 9 to 12 May 1974 in Tournai , in the Belgian province of Hainaut. It was the second binding world championship in Tournai.

history

Six years after the last single-binding world championship, also held in Tournai, the sixth edition took place. Again the Belgians showed their superiority in the cover. Only this time Ludo Dielis won . With 28.57 he set the world record for the best individual average (BED). The Dutchman Christ van der Smissen came second in front of the record world champion in three cushion Raymond Ceulemans . The tournament level was very high, which you can see from the good tournament average of 8.67.

mode

The game was played in a final round "everyone against everyone" up to 200 points.
