The 1984 binding world championship was the 13th tournament in this discipline of carom billiards and took place from 10 to 13 May 1984 in Copenhagen . It was the first binding world championship in Denmark.

history

The Belgian Raymond Ceulemans secured his sixth unbeaten title at his last World Cup . The Dutchman Christ van der Smissen won the fourth silver medal on his sixth participation. Van der Smissen started the tournament with eight wins and had a real final against Ceulemans. But here he had no chance. Ceulemans clearly won 200: 83 in 18 shots. Thomas Wildförster , who was nominated for the Argentinian Osvaldo Berardi , took an excellent third place. Wildförster won his first six games and then had to admit defeat to Ludo Dielis , van der Smissen and Ceulemans.

mode

The game was played in a final round "everyone against everyone" up to 200 points.
