The 1983 binding world championship was the twelfth tournament in this discipline of carom billiards and took place from 23 to 27 March 1983 in Rucphen , in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant . It was the second binding World Cup in the Netherlands.
history
Again the old and new world champion Ludo Dielis lost his only game against the Japanese Nobuaki Kobayashi , who won a World Cup medal in a cover for the first time. In his 200: 4 victory in just three shots against the Dutchman Jan Arnouts, Dielis equalized the five-year-old world record in the best individual average (BED) of 66.66 . Silver went to the German champion Wolfgang Zenkner . It would have been even more possible. Until the last game against Dielis he had only lost one game against Kobayashi and would have been world champion if he had won. Zenkner lost just 181: 200 in 24 shots. Second place for Zenkner was the first World Cup medal for Germany in the 49-year history of the single-binding World Cup.
mode
The game was played in a final round "everyone against everyone" up to 200 points.
