Rucphen ( listen ^{? / I} ) is a municipality in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant .

Districts

Rucphen, Schijf, Sint-Willebrord, Sprundel and Zegge.

Sint-Willebrord is also called the “wielerdorp” because it is where many cyclists come from.

The Rucphense Volkspartij won the local elections in 2018 with 32.19 percent of the vote. During the 2018–2022 legislative period, it forms a coalition with the CDA and the VVD .

Sports

In 1983 the place was the venue for the binding world championship , a discipline in carom billiards in which the Belgian Ludo Dielis was world champion ahead of the German Wolfgang Zenkner and Nobuaki Kobayashi from Japan .
