Etten-Leur is a municipality in the Netherlands in the west of the province of Noord-Brabant . It has 43,781 inhabitants (as of January 31, 2019) and an area of ​​55.9 km². Etten-Leur emerged from the amalgamation of the municipalities of Etten, Leur and several smaller towns.

The municipality is located between the cities of Breda in the east and Roosendaal in the west on the motorway 58 ( E312 ). Amsterdam is a good 90 km north. The place has a train station on the Roosendaal – Breda line and is connected to Tilburg and Vlissingen . The nearest airport is in the city of Rotterdam , which is about 40 km north-north-west.

The local party Algemeen Plaatselijk Belang won the last local election on March 21, 2018 with 21.9 percent of the vote. In the 2018–2022 legislative period they will form a coalition with the CDA and the VVD .
