history

After Martin Horn, Wolfgang Zenkner is only the second German to have secured the title of world champion. Unbeaten, he deservedly won the final with 150: 78 in six shots against defending champion Jean Paul de Bruijn from the Netherlands. Frédéric Caudron and Arnim Kahofer finished third together . For Kahofer it was the first World Cup medal. He thus continued the long success story of the Austrians in this sport of carambola.

mode

The game was played in four preliminary round groups of four players each. The two best in the group qualified for the second group stage. Then the two best in the group qualified for the semi-finals. The two winners played the final. The game was played up to 150 points.
