Cho Jae-ho (born April 7, 1980 in South Korea ) is a professional carom player from South Korea.

Career

Korea is an emerging billiards nation since the 1980s, especially in the area of the collision . So it was natural for Cho to try his hand at this sport. Behind Kim Kyung-roul and Choi Sung-won , he quickly became the third-best player in his country. He was able to win a bronze medal at the three-cushion World Cup 2009/3 . At the last AGIPI Billard Masters 2013 , Cho again won a bronze medal. In January 2014 he became the third Korean to win the tournament in Istanbul. The following year, Cho and his teammate Heo Jung-han won the silver medal at the three-cushion world championship for national teams in Viersen. In the final, the two young stars only narrowly had to face each other in the Scotch Doubles , it was 1: 1 after making points, the two Belgian old stars Eddy Merckx and Frédéric Caudron with 15:11.

In 2017 he became the first Asian and Korean to win the New York Verhoeven Open . In the final he was able to prevail against the Belgian Eddy Leppens .

On the day after his birthday in April 2018, he was able to dethrone the Vietnamese Asian champion Nguyễn Quốc Nguyện and prevail in the final with 40:28 in 10 shots (ED 4,000) against his compatriot Heo Jung-han .
