Ancyrosoma leucogrammes is a bug from the family of stink bugs (Pentatomidae).
features
The dark brown bugs are 6 to 7 millimeters long. The pronotum has points on the sides. The label is relatively large. The triangular head is pointed at the front. The bugs have a species-specific light vertical stripe pattern that extends over the head, pronotum and shield.
Occurrence
The species is native to southern Europe. Their distribution area extends north to Provence , South Tyrol and Austria to Graz.
Way of life
Ancyrosoma leucogrammes is mostly found on umbellifers (Apiaceae), especially on wild carrots ( Daucus carota ).
Enemies
The bugs are parasitized by caterpillar flies of the Tachinidae family . The following species are mentioned: Clytiomya dupuisi , Clytiomya sola and Gymnosoma clavatum .

etymology
The species name leucogrammes is derived from the Greek : leukos = "white" and grammes = "lines". The name refers to the typical drawing of the bedbugs.
