And Other Stories is an independent British publisher .

And Other Stories was founded in 2009 by Stefan Tobler. The publisher mainly sells its books by subscription and mainly publishes translations of foreign-language titles. The selection of books is largely done through crowdsourcing with reading groups who select the best foreign-language books and suggest them for publication.

In June 2015, the publisher announced that it would only publish books by women in 2018.

Awards

The first title, Down the Rabbit Hole by Juan Pablo Villalobos , was shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and the Oxford-Weidenfeld Translation Prize in 2011 .
