The reserve Andanan Watershed Forest Reserve is located near Bayugan on the island of Mindanao . It belongs to the Agusan del Sur Province in the Philippines . It was declared a nature and water reserve by Presidential Decree No. 734 of May 29, 1991 and is an important part of the NIPAS Act of 1992, in which it is listed as Andanan Natural Park.

The nature reserve is located in the Diwata Mountains and covers an area of ​​15,097 hectares, it is divided into 7,929 hectares of forest, 1,668 hectares of afforested areas and 5,500 hectares of grassland and pastures. It is the headwaters of the following rivers and streams: the Andanan River and the Muraya, Calaitan and Pinandagatan streams. The Andanan Watershed Forest Reserve has an annual rainfall of approximately 2000 mm. The rainiest months are from December to March with up to 250 mm of precipitation.

In the nature reserve lives a variety of mammals such as the Philippine deer , wild boars , the Philippine relatives of cynomolgus monkeys and some types of mice. The bird life in the nature reserve is represented by hornbills , parrots , the rare Brahmin harriers , the Philippine hooded eagle and the Philippine black-lined pigeon .

Several species of freshwater turtles and the reticulated python live on and in the waters . In the rivers live among other Kasili snakeheads, (Channa striata) as the Haluan or Ulang and Gabot. The forest areas are dominated by wing fruits such as the Yakal, Lauan, Mayapis, Apitong, Tanguile, Bagtikan, Red Lauan.
