Anders Bergman (born August 6, 1963 ) is a former Swedish ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

Anders Bergman began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of Bollnäs IS. From there, the goalkeeper moved to the youth department of MoDo AIK , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Elitserien , the highest Swedish league, in the 1982/83 season . In the 1983/84 season , he and his team had to accept relegation to the second-rate Division 1 , from which he and his team succeeded in direct promotion to the Elitserien in the following season . For the 1988/89 season, the national player moved within the Elitserien to Färjestad BK , with whom he was runner- up in the 1989/90 and 1990/91 seasons. In both years he and his team lost to Djurgårdens IF . In 1990 he was also the goalkeeper of the Elitserien with the lowest average goal conceded. The Swede ended his career in 1994 at the age of 31.

International

For Sweden Bergman took part in the junior division at the 1983 Junior World Championship . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 1987 World Cup and the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary . He also represented Sweden at the Canada Cup in 1987 . In his three senior tournaments, he remained as a substitute goalkeeper without any use. At the 1987 World Cup he won the gold medal with Sweden and the bronze medal at the 1988 Winter Olympics.
