Erik David Anders Eby (born February 5, 1949 ) is a Swedish conductor .

Eby studied from 1972 at the Royal Academy of Music (Kungliga Musikhögskolan) in Stockholm, among other things, choir conducting with Eric Ericson and passed the exam as a church musician in 1977. Studies of orchestral conducting in Italy, France and the USA followed. He worked as a church musician at traditional Stockholm churches, from 1971 to 2001 at the Johanneskirche and since 2001 at the Adolf Friedrich Church . He has been working with the Mikaeli Kammarkör , which he founded , his actual "instrument", with which he undertook numerous concert tours and made many radio and television recordings under his direction, which cover a very broad repertoire of the choir.

In addition to many other guest conductors, he also directed the Academic Chamber Choir Uppsala (1974–83) and Pro Coro Canada, Edmonton (1988–92).

Anders Eby is an internationally sought-after teacher for choral conducting and is a juror at numerous international competitions. From 1994 to 2009 he was professor of choral conducting and head of the choir department at the Royal Academy of Music. This office also includes the direction of the KMHS chamber choir (Kungliga Musikhögskolans Kammarkör). He then took on visiting professorships at the Piteå Music Academy and, since 2011, at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf .
