Anders Wodskou Berthelsen (born September 28, 1969 in Rødovre ) is a Danish film and theater actor.

Life

Anders Berthelsen is the middle of three brothers. His parents lived successively in Copenhagen , Odense and finally in Kolding , where he grew up. He has been married to the producer Christina Pind since 1999; they had a daughter in 2008.

His first role was in Niels Arden Oplev's film Portland in 1996 . In 1996 and 1997 he played a leading role in the DR series TAXA . He had his big breakthrough in the two Dogma 95 films Mifune and Italian for Beginners . From 2004 to 2007 he starred in the Emmy nominated series Krøniken .

Awards

Berthelsen has been nominated for several film awards: in 1999 for the European Film Award as Best Actor for his role in Mifune. He was nominated four times for the Bodil and five times for the Danish Robert Film Award. At the Bordeaux International Festival of Women in Cinema in 2001 he was awarded a Golden Wave together with Peter Gantzler and Lars Kaalund for his role in Italian for Beginners .
