André Botur

André Botur (born December 23, 1964 in Bremen ) is a German lawyer and a judge at the Federal Court of Justice since 2012 .

He received his doctorate in 1995 from the Humboldt University in Berlin on "Private insurance in the Third Reich: for claims settlement after the Reichskristallnacht under the influence of National Socialist race and insurance policy". He then began his professional career in 1996 in the higher judicial service of the state of Saxony-Anhalt . In 1997 he was transferred to the department of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice . He initially worked for the public prosecutor's office , then at the Hildesheim Regional Court and from 1998 at the Peine District Court . From 2005 to the end of 2007 he was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant . During his secondment he was appointed judge at the Higher Regional Court in Celle . There he had been a member of a senate for family matters since 2008 .

On May 2, 2012 André Botur was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and the XII. Civil Senate assigned.
