André Dominé

André Dominé (* 1946 in Hamburg ) is a German journalist and wine author. He lives in a wine-growing village at the foot of the Pyrenees in France.

Dominé began writing glosses for various magazines at the age of fourteen. After graduating from high school, he studied literature. In 1981 he moved to France, where he initially worked in viticulture for five years in order to acquire practical knowledge of wine. Since then Dominé has been working as a freelance wine journalist in France. He is the author and editor of numerous wine and gastronomy books. He is also the South of France correspondent for various wine and gourmet magazines such as Der Feinschmecker and Vinum . As the first German wine journalist, Dominé wrote about the quality revolution in the wine regions of southern France in the 1990s. His main work, wine , has been translated into several languages. As editor he is responsible, among other things, for the photo book Weinlandschaften der Welt by photographer Armin Faber, who specializes in wine photography.
