André Golke

André Golke (born August 15, 1964 in Hamburg ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Golke, who trained as an insurance salesman , began playing soccer at the Hausbruch-Neugrabener gymnastics club in Hamburg . He came to FC St. Pauli through the Hamburger SV youth team , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1988. With 25 goals, he is still the record scorer of the Kiez club in the German elite league. After the relegation of St. Pauli in 1991, he still played for 1. FC Nürnberg and VfB Stuttgart in the first division before moving to VfB Lübeck in the second division. In 1998 he ended his active career.

In July 2009 André Golke took over the coaching position of the first men's team at Lower Saxony's upper league relegated VfL Maschen .
