André Kuhnert (* February 2, 1986 , alternatively: Qnerd ) is a German radio host and web video producer .

life and career

After graduating from high school, he said he did an internship at the Hamburg radio station alsterradio in 2005 . From 2006 to 2008 he attended the Academy for Journalism in Hamburg and trained as a journalist at Radio Hamburg . He then worked there as a moderator and editor until he switched to the Radio Hamburg Morningshow team with John Ment and Birgit Hahn in 2016 .

In 2016 he opened a YouTube channel where he regularly publishes videos (including on Radio Hamburg). There he uses his alternative name Qnerd , which is derived from his last name and the term nerd . In the same year he was with Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and won 64,000 euros from Günther Jauch . He also created an account on the Twitch streaming platform in 2014, where he regularly streams games or exchanges ideas with his viewers.

In 2017 he presented the Top 800 , an Easter program on Radio Hamburg, together with Tim Gafron . The broadcast lasted 65 hours and was continued in 2018 with Kuhnert and Gafron. In 2019 he moderated the Easter mega-hit marathon together with John Ment , Birgit Hahn, Tim Gafron, Onni Schlebusch and Linda Stahl.

Together with John Ment and Birgit Hahn, Kuhnert won the German Radio Prize in 2017 in the category "Best Morning Show".

Since April 2017, Kuhnert has been running the podcast channel randomtainment together with YouTuber Alexander Böhm ( AlexiBexi ) and Jens Herforth . In 2019 he won the podcast award in the "Education" category.

He lives in Hamburg and is married.
