John Ment
John Ment (* 1963 in Hamburg ) is a German radio presenter.
Life
Ment is the son of the bandoneonist Jo Ment . After graduating from high school in Hamburg, he began an apprenticeship as a real estate agent and studied business administration. He broke off both. He began his radio career in 1985 with the Hansawelle from Radio Bremen . Since the private broadcaster started in 1986, with the exception of a four-month stay with NDR 2 , he has been with Radio Hamburg . His colleagues included the later NDR 2 presenter Albrecht Lachmann, who died of heart failure in 2002 at the age of only 35. Since 2002 he has also been deputy program director of Radio Hamburg. He moderates the Radio Hamburg morning show Monday to Friday from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. - with John Ment and his team . In 2010 Ment won one of the four special prizes of the German Radio Prize .
His weekly column Ment appears in the Hamburger Morgenpost on Monday .
