André Pilz

André Pilz (born June 4, 1972 in Lauterach , Vorarlberg ) is a German writer .

Life

Pilz grew up in Vorarlberg, where he attended high school in Bregenz . He studied in Innsbruck and also worked for years as a museum supervisor and as a temporary worker at the airport before his first novel was published. Today the author lives in Munich and Vorarlberg.

His first novel, the novel No llores, mi querida - Don't cry, my darling (2005), tells the story of the skinhead 'Rico Steinmann', who falls in love with the Mexican student 'Maga'. At the Deutsches Theater in Berlin the world premiere of Weine nicht took place on September 15, 2007 under the direction of Robert Borgmann , u. a. with Marek Harloff as Rico Steinmann and Alwara Höfels as Maga in the leading roles. Both the novel and the stage version were not without controversy.

Bataillon d'Amour - a story of love and violence (2007) describes the ordeal of a young woman from Latin America who is forced into prostitution in Germany.

On February 6, 2010, Man Down, the author's third novel, was published. The book is about the drug dealer 'Kai', who falls in love with 'Marion', but who hides a fatal secret. The director Michael von Oppen adapted the novel for the stage. Man Down was premiered on July 23, 2010 in Theater Halle 7 in Munich.

The seven deadly sins were premiered on January 28, 2011 at the Theater Kosmos in Bregenz ; Pilz worked on the deadly sin of avarice.

He Shot Me Down - Rock 'n' Crime Stories, a crime anthology for which André Pilz contributed the crime thriller 7 fucking tracks , was published by Rotbuch Verlag on February 15, 2011 . On September 25, 2012, Pilz's fourth novel Die Lieder, Das Körn, was published, which is set in a German nuclear power plant after a meltdown .

Pilz's novel "The Anatolian Panther" (published in September 2016) is about a young German of Turkish descent who is forced by an ex-police officer to spy on the mosque of a hate preacher in Munich.
