André Tienelt

André Tienelt (born November 24, 1981 in Freital ) is a German chef.

Career

After training at the Erbgericht restaurant in Cunnersdorf (Gohrisch) , Tienelt went to the Taschenbergpalais in Dresden in 2001, to the Romantik Hotel Pattis in Dresden in 2003 and to the Graugans restaurant in the Hyatt Hotel in Cologne . In 2005 he moved to the gourmet restaurant Dieter Müller (three Michelin stars) in the Schlosshotel Lerbach in Bergisch Gladbach .

In 2007 Tienelt became head chef at the Sendig restaurant in the Hotel Elbresidenz in Bad Schandau , which was awarded a Michelin star until the hotel had to be closed for months for renovation after the Elbe flood in 2013 .

Since September 2014 Tienelt has been head chef at the Wilder Ritter restaurant in the Hotel Ritter in Durbach , which was also awarded a Michelin star until 2019.

In 2019 the Wilder Ritter restaurant was closed and the Makidan im Ritter opened, which has not been awarded a Michelin star.
