André Valardy

André Valardy (born May 17, 1938 in Antwerp as André Knoblauch, † April 30, 2007 in Paris ) was a Belgian comedian , actor and film director .

Life

After studying theater in Paris, Valardy became a comedian on the advice of the French actor and director Jacques Fabbri. In the theater he was a successful pantomime.

In parallel, he appeared in a number of films and on television. In 1965 he made his TV debut in "Seule à Paris", and in 1967 his film debut in "Ne jouez pas avec les martiens". His last role was in the horror film "Nothing Sacred", in which he mimed an immortal. The film is dedicated to his memory.

Valardy also worked as a film director for short films. He directed the award-winning films “L'erreur est humaine” (1984) and “Le fauteuil magique” (1992).

At the age of 68, André Valardy died of complications from cancer.
