André Waterkeyn
André Waterkeyn (born August 23, 1917 in Wimbledon , † October 4, 2005 in Brussels ) was a Belgian engineer .
André HJ Waterkeyn planned the Atomium in Brussels for the 1958 World's Fair as a symbol of scientific progress and built it together with André and Jean Polak . He also accompanied the extensive restoration of the building until his death
Waterkeyn was a director at Fabrimetal , a large Belgian steel producer .
Waterkeyn was also a hockey player who participated in the 1948 London Olympics for Belgium .
