André Wormser
André Alphonse Toussaint Wormser (born November 1, 1851 in Paris , † November 4, 1926 in Paris) was a French composer of the Romantic period.
André Wormser studied at the Paris Conservatory with Antoine François Marmontel (piano) and François Bazin (music theory). In 1875 he won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome with the cantata Clytemnestre . He composed ballets, operettas, vaudevilles, symphonic works, chamber music, songs and piano works. His most famous composition was the music for the pantomime L'Enfant Prodigue .
