Néstor Andrés Silvera (born March 14, 1977 in Comodoro Rivadavia ) is a retired Argentine football player on the position of the striker .

Career

Andrés Silvera began his career in 1994 with the city club CAI Comodoro Rivadavia . There he played for three years in the lower leagues until he moved to Club Atlético Huracán in 1997 in the Primera División . After just one season, Silvera moved to Unión de Santa Fe .

In 2001 he signed a contract with Club Atlético Independiente , with whom he won both the Clausura in 2002 and was Apertura's top scorer with 16 goals .

For the 2003 season he was sold to the Mexican first division club UANL Tigres . In 2004 he became the top scorer of the Clausura. With Tigres he won the InterLiga in both 2005 and 2006 .

In 2006 he moved back to Argentina to CA San Lorenzo de Almagro , with whom he won the 2007 Clausura.

In 2009 he moved back to CA Independiente . There he wore jersey number 11. In 2011 he moved to Belgrano, then to Benfield, in 2014 he ended his active career with his old club Comodoro Rivadavia.

Since 2017 he has been an assistant trainer at al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia) .
