Andre Dillard (born October 3, 1995 in Woodinville , Washington ) is an American football player on the offensive tackle position for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Washington State .

Early career

In his youth, Dillard played basketball, which brought him an improvement in his footwork. He started playing football in eighth grade as it was considered "cooler".

Dillard did not receive many high school offers and eventually attended Woodinville High School in Washington. As a senior, he was named KingCo 4A Crest Division Offensive Lineman of the Year.

college

After a Redshirt year at Washington State, Dillard only played 3 games as a left tackle when he was a freshman. In 2016 he played 13 games as a left tackle and was selected by Pro Football Focus as an All-Pac-12 Second Team. In the game against Oregon State he received the Bone Award . In 2017 he again played all 13 games as a left tackle and received the Bone Award twice . In 2018 he again played all 13 games as a left tackle and received the Bone Award five times . He only allowed one sack out of 677 passports. After the season, he was named 3rd Best Offensive Tackle, Best Pass-Blocking Tackle, and 2nd Best Screen-Blocking Tackle by ProFootballFocus College.

NFL

Dillard was chosen as the 22nd pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft . Dillard is the Washington State Cougars' 13th first-round pick and the first offensive lineman to be selected in the first round.

Personal

Dillard's father, Mitch, also played as an offensive lineman for the Washington State Cougars from 1983 to 1986. After four years at Washington State, he received a bachelor's degree in social sciences.
