Andrea Herzog (born December 9, 1999 in Meißen ) is a German canoeist .

Career

Andrea Herzog first played handball in her childhood . At the age of 10 she started canoeing with SG Kanu Meißen. In 2014 she was able to qualify for the junior national team for the first time and thus also for the 2015 World Junior Championship in Brazil . At the World Championships in Foz do Iguaçu she won gold in the Canadier- One (C1) and in the team (C1). She managed to repeat this success two years later at the Junior World Championships in Bratislava ( Slovakia ).

At the U23 World Cup 2018 in Ivrea ( Italy ) she reached a 4th place in the Canadier single.

Herzog achieved her first major success in 2019 at the World Championships in La Seu d'Urgell ( Spain ) when she surprisingly won the gold medal in the Canadier-One .
