Andrea Kumpe
Andrea Kumpe (born May 18, 1979 in Oberstdorf ) is a German organist and music teacher.
Life
After training as an educator, she studied church music A, music pedagogy for the organ and elementary music pedagogy at the Nuremberg-Augsburg University of Music . Her teachers in the main artistic subject organ were Karl Maureen and Markus Willinger . She completed the Studies Advanced Diploma Organ (master class) with Martin Schmeding at the Freiburg University of Music . Masterclasses with Jean-Claude Zehnder, Michael Belotti, Ton Koopman, Sietze de Vries, Stefan Engels, Hans-Ola Ericsson, Daniel Roth, Jon Laukvik and Olivier Latry. Doctoral studies with Christoph Krummacher and Ines Mainz in the field of music education at the University of Music and Theater Leipzig (empirical research in organ education and new conception of an organ school).
Andrea Kumpe was a long-time lecturer for music and rhythm at the Kolping Academy in Augsburg and assistant for the young student class at the Freiburg University of Music . In the winter semester 2010/2011 she took over from Martin Schmeding in the artistic main subject organ. She taught the same at the Freiburg University of Education and in the C-course of the Archdiocese of Freiburg. Since 2013 she has been working as a continuing education coordinator, research coordinator for the Institute for Classical Music and Church Music and as a lecturer at the Lucerne School of Music. She is the program director of several further education courses (church music, music, movement, dance, instrumental / vocal pedagogy, early instrumental lessons, music geragogy, etc.). International speaker activity (area of instrumental teaching & learning, practice techniques and artistic organ playing) and regular speaker at symposia and conferences, especially in the area of organ pedagogy.
Concerts as a conductor and organist in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Poland, a. a. at the Thuringian Bach Weeks in Arnstadt and as a soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Bonn. Recordings for Deutschlandfunk . CD productions with the Ensemble Celsitonantes and the Querstand label (historical organs in the Allgäu).
