Andrea Liesner (* 1967 in Essen ) is a German university professor for educational science .

Life

Andrea Liesner began studying history , German and pedagogy at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal in 1991 , which she completed in 1997 with the first state examination for teaching at secondary levels I and II .

During her time as a doctoral student, she worked as a research assistant in the cultural studies institute of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in Essen in 1999, where she received a scholarship from 2000 to 2001. In 2001 she completed her doctorate at the University of Wuppertal with the thesis "Pedagogical safety - a historical and systematic analysis of security needs and complaints". After a short time as a research assistant in the Department of Historical and Systematic Pedagogy at the University of Wuppertal, Andrea Liesner moved in 2001 as a research assistant to the Department of Education at the University of Hamburg .

In 2007 she was appointed professor for educational science in Hamburg with a focus on "Educational Processes in the Context of Economic Transformations".
