Andrea Sybille Lietz-Weiermann

Andrea Sybille Lietz-Weiermann (born December 15, 1958 in Cologne ) is a former German hockey player and Olympic participant.

Lietz-Weiermann won the German indoor hockey championship with the RTHC Bayer Leverkusen in 1981 and 1982, and the field hockey championship in 1982 and 1983.

The Vorstopperin made her debut in 1980 in the German national hockey team . After her first international match, there was a three-year break before she brought national coach Wolfgang Strödter back to the national team. In May 1984, the first women's field hockey European championship was held in Lille , after a semi-final defeat by the Dutch, the German players won the bronze medal against the British. Two months later, the Dutch defeated the German team at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 6-2, the German team won silver behind the Dutch and ahead of the Americans. In total, Andrea Sybille Lietz-Weiermann played in 20 international matches from 1980 to 1984.
