Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana ( Thai สมเด็จ พระเจ้า ลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้า สิริ วัณ ณ ว รี นารี รัตน ราช กัญญา , RTGS Somdet Phra Chao Luk Thoe Chao Fa Siriwanwari Narirat Ratchakanya ; born January 8, 1987 in Bangkok as Mom Chao Busyanambejra Mahidol ) is a member of the Thai royal family , Fashion designer and athlete.

Life

Sirivannavari Nariratana was born in 1987 as the daughter of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn (since 2016 King Rama X.) and his then lover, the actress Yuvadhida Polpraserth . As the daughter of the Crown Prince who was born out of wedlock , she initially carried the lowest princess title Mom Chao and the name Busyanambejra Mahidol. She has four older brothers and two half-siblings; they are children from her father's other marriages. Her parents married when she was seven years old, but divorced after two years. Her mother then went to England with her and her brothers, but her father brought her back to Thailand in 1996 as the only one of the siblings. Her name was then changed to Mom Chao Chakkrityapha Mahidol. Her grandmother Queen Sirikit later named her Sirivannavari and her grandfather King Bhumibol Adulyadej raised her to the second highest princess rank Phra-ong Chao in 2005 .

She studied fashion and textile design at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. In autumn 2007 she presented her first fashion show in Paris. The following year, Forbes Magazine chose her in the Top 20 of the "Hottest Young Royals".

As a result of her father's coronation in May 2019, she was awarded the highest princess rank Chao Fa ("Heavenly Princess").

Athletic career

Sirivannavari Nariratana devoted himself to badminton in sports . The greatest success she was able to record in 2007 was winning the bronze medal with the Thai team at the Southeast Asian Games. In mixed she was eliminated from the same event in the first round. Even with the Thailand Open 2006 round was one last stop.

Sirivannavari Nariratana has been interested in riding since she was six years old, but only started training for dressage in 2011 . In 2013 she took part in the Southeast Asian Games in Naypyidaw (5th place with the team, 9th place in the individual). A year later at the Asian Games in Incheon , the Thai team came seventh with her, in the individual she only came second to last. At the Southeast Asian Games in 2017 , she and the team won the silver medal, in the individual ranking it was 14th place.

It assumes tests up to Intermediaire I part. Sirivannavari Nariratana competed in all international exams from 2014 to 2019 with the Hanoverian Prince Charming WPA (* 2000).
