Andrea Tomatis (born April 9, 1978 in Milan ) is an Italian volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career indoor volleyball

Tomatis played indoor volleyball for various Italian clubs from 1998 to 2011. In the 2001/02 season, the outside attacker played in Serie A2 at Perugia Volley and made it to the top Italian division. In 2010/11 Tomatis played with M. Roma Volley in Serie A1 .

Career beach volleyball

Tomatis has also been active in beach volleyball with numerous partners since 2001. On the FIVB World Tour , apart from a fifth place at the Shanghai Open 2006 with Eugenio Amore , he didn't get any top placements. At the 2011 World Championships in Rome , he finished 33rd with Daniele Lupo . In 2013/2014, Tomatis was much more successful alongside Alex Ranghieri . Tomatis / Ranghieri had some top ten placements on the World Tour and finished ninth at the 2014 European Championships in Cagliari .
