Eugenio Amore (born February 17, 1972 in Vergato ) is an Italian beach volleyball player who is also active in volleyball .
Career beach volleyball
Amore played his first international tournaments in 1999 and 2000 with changing partners. In 2001 he formed a duo with Riccardo Lione . In the first year Amore / Lione achieved two 17th places in Lignano and Espinho . At the World Cup in Klagenfurt , they survived the group stage with one win and one defeat before they had to admit defeat to the Laciga brothers from Switzerland in the first knockout round . At the end of the year they finished 13th at the Vitória Open. In 2002 they achieved 17th place in Marseille and Cádiz as the best results on the FIVB World Tour . In the following year, Amore competed with Andrea Tomatis in two open tournaments and the Berlin Grand Slam , without reaching any top placements.
In 2005 Amore returned with his new partner Riccardo Fenili . After three wins at satellite tournaments in a row, the duo came ninth in the top ten at the Athens Open. In 2006 Amore was first with Tomatis fifth in the Shanghai Open, before continuing to play with Fenili and ninth in Stavanger and Marseille. After a phase with changing partners, he came in seventh and ninth in Stare Jabłonki and Vitória at the end of the season . In 2007, Amore first appeared again with Tomatis before joining a new duo with Riccardo Bizzotto . The best result this year was ninth place at the Grand Slam in Klagenfurt. In 2008 Amore / Bizzotto did not get beyond 17th place. Amore later played with Lione again. Amore / Lione competed in the Beijing Olympics . There they did not succeed in three preliminary round matches, so that they were eliminated from the bottom of the group.
In 2009 Amore only played the Open tournament in Rome with Giuseppe Patriarca . In 2010 he did not achieve any top placements with Fosco Cicola at the Roman Grand Slam and two open tournaments. In 2012 he returned with Matteo Martino at the Grand Slam in Klagenfurt.
Career indoor volleyball
In the hall, Amore was active in lower-class clubs. He started his career in 1991 in Piano di Conca . From 1993 to 1998 he played in Migliarino in the leagues B2 and C1. The attacker then played for one season each with the clubs Artic Bottega , Codyeco Lupi Santa Croce , BPC Blueline Samgas Crema and Ostia Volley in the third Italian division (Serie B1). In 2002 he returned to the club from Santa Croce, which had meanwhile been promoted to the second division (A2). In the seasons 2003/04 and 2004/05 he was under contract with the B-division team Lunica Volley Aulla and Pallavolo Livorno . Then he moved to Quasar Massa . After taking a break in the hall from 2006 to 2008, he played again for Massa from 2008 to 2010 and rose to the second division with the club.
