Andrea Versteyl

Andrea Versteyl (born July 4, 1953 in Legden ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Saxon Constitutional Court in Leipzig .

Life

After studying law and philosophy at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster , she received her doctorate in 1985. iur. with a comparative law work on mediation , published by Duncker & Humblot under the title “The overpowering third”. Versteyl has been working as a lawyer since 1983, as a specialist lawyer for administrative law since 1988 and has focused on environmental and planning law for more than 20 years . In 2009 the Leibniz University of Hanover appointed Versteyl an honorary professor. Since 2010 she has also been a judge at the Constitutional Court of the Free State of Saxony . In addition, it was convened in 2010 in the Federal Government's National Regulatory Control Council.

Office activity

Versteyl has worked in several law firms since 1990, B. at Redeker Sellner Dahs in Berlin. In 2006 she founded the law firm Andrea Versteyl Rechtsanwälte with offices in Berlin, Hanover, Hamburg and Augsburg, where she still works today.
