Andreas Amende (born February 12, 1955 in Leipzig ) is a German politician. Until December 20, 1990, he was a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in the German Bundestag for the state of Brandenburg . He was elected on September 28, 1990 by the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

Amende graduated from the Polytechnic High School from 1961 to 1971, first in Bad Lausick and later in Schwedt . He then worked as an assistant nurse in a pen and then worked as a shunter and engine driver. In 1977 he became a skilled worker for factory locksmithing, a year later he became a locomotive heater for the Deutsche Reichsbahn. In 1980 Amende passed the exam that officially made him a train driver. He was a construction soldier until 1982 . He then took distance learning from 1985 to 1989 and finally passed the first theological exam, with which he acquired the right to preach.

politics

Amende joined the New Forum in October 1989 and the Social Democratic Party of the GDR (SDP) in December of the same year. In 1990 he became managing director of the SPD in the Angermünde district. On March 18, 1990, he was elected to the People's Chamber via constituency 5 (Frankfurt / Oder district). After reunification, he was a member of the German Bundestag from October 3, from which, however, he resigned after the 1990 Bundestag election.
