Andreas Arntzen (Publishing Manager)

Andreas Arntzen (born June 30, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German publishing manager and former hockey Bundesliga and national player. He is the founder and partner of several digital companies, such as the online dating portal Parship and radio.de. Since March 2016 he has been Chief Executive Officer at Wort & Bild Verlag .

Athletic career

For 15 years, the 1.95 meter tall Arntzen was goalkeeper at the Harvestehuder tennis and hockey club . As a hockey Bundesliga and national player, he won several German championship titles and took part in European and World Championships:

Professional career

Andreas Arntzen studied business administration at the University of Hamburg . He completed his academic career with a degree in business administration. During his studies, he and his partner Christian Blunck founded four hockey sports retail stores in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Rüsselsheim and Berlin. After graduating, Arntzen began his career in 1997 at the FCB Wilkens advertising agency in Hamburg as a new business manager. In 1998 he moved to the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group in project management. There he was responsible for the roll-out of the online job market “Jobline Germany GmbH” as managing director in 1999 and brought this company to the stock exchange in 2000. In the same year he also founded the online dating agency Parship GmbH . After that he was managing director a. a. the Zeit publishing group and, until the end of 2006, the Handelsblatt publishing group .

From 2006 to 2009 he was the managing director of the Madsack publishing group , responsible for electronic media and newspapers. From 2010 Arntzen was managing partner of the investment and consulting company Earlyshare GmbH, Hamburg. In 2014 he took over the management of Business Media, Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions at NZZ-Medien AG , Zurich . In addition, he is the founder and partner of several digital companies such as apploft, radio.de, wesound and other internet companies.

Since 2016 he has been Chief Executive Officer at Wort & Bild Verlag (including Apotheken Umschau ) in Baierbrunn near Munich. He also holds advisory and administrative board mandates, including a. at IFH Interforum AG (Thun), Architonic AG (Zurich), Venturestars GmbH (Munich), Digital Executives (Berlin) and voiXen GmbH (Berlin).
