Andreas Bartl

Andreas Bartl (born December 21, 1962 in Heidelberg ) is a German media manager . He was managing director of the television station Kabel eins and later of ProSieben and Sat.1 . In 2014 he became managing director of RTL II .

Life

After graduating from high school, Bartl studied American studies , communication science and political science at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . From 1988 to 1990 he did an internship at Video Magazin , where he then became a film editor. In 1990/1991 he worked as a freelancer in the text and feature film editorial team at ProSieben, where he was taken over as feature film editor from 1991. From 1993 Bartl was responsible for the film planning, from 1995 on the entire film editing of the station. Two years later he took over the complete program planning, from 1999 he was program director. From October 2000 he was managing director of the private broadcaster Kabel eins. Since September 2006 he has been the managing director of ProSieben, since January 2010 also of Sat.1. On October 4, 2011, he passed the managing director position at Sat.1 to Joachim Kosack.

March 1, 2012 Andreas Bartl left the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG and the management of ProSiebenSat.1 TV Germany GmbH in order to be a media entrepreneur independently to make.

Bartl has been managing director of RTL II since June 1, 2014 .
