Andreas Bisig (born March 21, 1994 in Uznach , resident in Einsiedeln ) is a Swiss politician of the Green Liberal Party . Since 2020 he sits for the See-Gaster in the St. Gallen Cantonal Council .

Life

Bisig grew up in Rapperswil-Jona , where his parents run a farm. So far in 2013 he completed the high school Matura with recognition award for the best Matura examination in the focus on economics and law at the Wattwil Cantonal School . He then studied economics at the University of St. Gallen , with study visits to Lausanne and Montréal . He completed his studies in 2020 with a Master of Arts in Business Management.

Bisig has been president of the regional party GLP Linth since 2018. Before that, he was its vice-president for four years. In addition, from 2013 to 2020 he was a member of the board of the Young Green Liberals St.Gallen. In the re-elections of the St. Gallen Cantonal Council on 8 March 2020 succeeded Bisig the lost four years ago to recapture the seat of his constituency party. When he was elected, he was the youngest member of the St. Gallen Cantonal Council at the age of 25 .
