Andreas Ehrenfried Forstmeyer

Andreas Ehrenfried Forstmeyer (born April 28, 1732 in Weißenburg ; † June 13, 1787 in Karlsruhe ) was a musician and composer from the Forstmeyer family . He played the horn , violin and viola .

Life

Forstmeyer was born as one of 14 children of the Weißenburg town musician David Andreas Forstmeyer and his wife Eva Maria, geb. Wechsler, born. Georg Christian Forstmeyer and David Andreas Forstmeyer the Younger of his siblings were also active as musicians. After attending the Latin school under Johann Alexander Döderlein , he completed a five-year training as a musician with his father, in 1751 at the court of Margrave Karl Friedrich von Baden to take the position of lackey and hunting horn player, in 1770 court musician.
