David Andreas Forstmeyer the Younger

David Andreas Forstmeyer (born May 12, 1753 in Weißenburg ; † after 1805 , possibly in Pforzheim ) was a musician from the Forstmeyer family .

Life

Forstmeyer was one of 14 children of the Weißenburg town musician David Andreas Forstmeyer and his wife Eva Maria, geb. Changer. Of his siblings, Andreas Ehrenfried Forstmeyer and Georg Christian Forstmeyer were also active as musicians. He attended the Latin school in Weißenburg and probably completed a music education with his father. He then moved out of Weißenburg for unknown reasons. On September 19, 1780 he married Jacobina Christmann in Brötzingen near Pforzheim , where he was listed as a teacher. In the state and address manual of the Swabian Reich Kraises on d. In 1794 he appears as music master at the Pforzheim Pedagogy. According to the Baden court and state calendar , he held the office until at least 1805. Further details about his life and his musical activities are not known.
