Andreas Eikenroth

Andreas Eikenroth (born January 6, 1966 in Gießen ) is a German comic artist and illustrator .

Career

In 1993, Andreas Eikenroth co-founded the comic bonus magazine the Kainsmal in Gießen and was later part of the collective “Pony X Press” with Sarah Burrini , Ans de Bruin and Frank Plein . After various self-published publications, Edition 52 published his graphic novel Die Schönheit des Scheiterns in 2013 , for which he was awarded the ICOM Independent Comic Prize for the best scenario the following year . The follow-up volume Hummel mit Vodka was also published in 2015 by Edition 52 and in 2019 the comic book adaptation of Georg Büchner's Woyzeck .

He also writes and draws for Gießener Anzeiger , Mare and The Heritage Post .

Other Projects

Together with Katrina Friese, Eikenroth has published the hiking books Warte, I come with 1 & 2 at Edition Limosa .

He is also the singer of the maritime band “Fern der Heimat” and the Skapolka band “Zagreb Titan”.
