Andreas Heinz (judge)

Andreas Heinz (born April 29, 1963 in Landau in the Palatinate ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court .

Career

After graduating from high school, Heinz began studying law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz , which he continued at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and graduated in 1988 with the first state examination in law. Following the Second State Examination in Law, he was a judge at the Koblenz Regional Court in September 1991 . In February 1995, Heinz was appointed judge at the social court. In 1996/97 he was seconded to the Federal Social Court as a research assistant. A secondment to the Federal Constitutional Court followed from 2000 to 2003 . In February 2003, Heinz was appointed judge at the State Social Court of Rhineland-Palatinate .

On March 13, 2008, Heinz was elected judge at the Federal Social Court by the judges' selection committee. He took up this position on August 1, 2008. The presidium of the court assigned Heinz to the 2nd senate responsible for accident insurance law.

Heinz is a co-author of manuals and comments, in particular on employment promotion law and procedural law.
