Andreas Herholz

Andreas Herholz (* 1789 ; † 1870 ) was a German clergyman and politician .

Life

Andreas Herholz was archpriest of Wartenburg in the exemte diocese of Warmia in East Prussia . He studied theology in Warsaw . Appointed Archpriest of Heilsberg by the Prince-Bishop of Warmia in 1834 . 1842 Canon of the Frombork Cathedral . After the March Revolution in 1848, member of the Prussian National Assembly , which was supposed to draw up a constitution for the state of Prussia . When the seat of parliament was to be relocated from Berlin to Brandenburg on the instructions of the Prussian king due to new unrest, and the majority of the MPs refused, Herholz was one of the signatories of the wall attack on November 9, 1848: “Protest of constitutionally-monarchically minded MPs , concerning the relocation of the National Assembly announced by His Majesty the King. ”In 1849 he donated 112 thalers for the construction of the Trinity Church in Brandenburg an der Havel .
