Andreas Hieke (born May 19, 1966 in Kassel ) is a German television journalist and media trainer .

Career

Hieke grew up in Kassel and Hanau . In 1985 he graduated from the High State School . From 1985 to 1987, Hieke completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at Siemens . At the same time he gained his first journalistic experience at Offenbach-Post . From 1987 Hieke studied communication science, economics and theater studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . Hieke completed his studies with a thesis on the GDR youth magazine Elf 99 .

In 1993, Hieke began working as an editor at RTL's local window in Hessen. In 1994 he switched to Sat.1 Regional Report, and in 1996 to Hessischer Rundfunk . Hieke has been the moderator of the Hessenschau since 2007 . He also works as a media trainer and event moderator.

In 1992, Hieke received the local television award from the Bavarian State Agency for New Media .

He has been involved in the Tour of Hope for many years .

Hieke has two children. His daughter Maja Hieke is an actress.
