Andreas Izquierdo (born August 9, 1968 in Euskirchen ) is a German writer.

Life

Izquierdo grew up in Iversheim and went to school in Bad Münstereifel . After graduating from high school, he gained his first experience in the mass media - in newspapers and radio - which was crowned with a prize in a nationwide competition for young journalists.

In 1995 he published his first crime novel, Der Saumord, with the protagonist Jupp Schmitz, a local reporter in the Eifel village of Dörresheim . In addition to his Eifel crime thrillers, Izquierdo wrote various sitcom and series scripts for RTL , Sat.1 and WDR (including some episodes for the television series Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei ) and published the crime personage "Geraldine & Phillis" on the Internet.
