Andreas Kalckhoff

Andreas Kalckhoff (born August 18, 1944 in Saaz , Bohemia ) is a German historian and publicist.

Kalckhoff grew up in Munich and studied Bavarian history, medieval history and political science there. In 1976 he received his doctorate from Karl Bosl on nationalism in the late Middle Ages.

From 1977 to 1978 he was editor of the history magazine " Damals " in Gießen, 1978 to 1980 research assistant at the University of Stuttgart with August Nitschke in the institute for social research, department "historical behavior research".

Since 1980 he has lived in Stuttgart as a freelance journalist, genealogist and heraldist .
