Andreas Karch (physicist)
Andreas Karch (born September 28, 1972 in Bamberg ) is a German physicist . After a dissertation on "Field Theory Dynamics from Branes in String Theory" at the Humboldt University in Berlin, he started a postdoc at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is currently Professor of Physics at the University of Washington. He examines topics in string theory and quantum chromodynamics . His KR model , published together with Lisa Randall , became particularly well known . It offers one possible explanation for why we live in a world with three dimensions of space, even though string theory assumes ten dimensions of space.
