Andreas Krüger (* 1964 ) is a German specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy .

Kruger focuses on the treatment of psychologically traumatized children, adolescents and their families. He pursues an integrative approach in the therapy of trauma , which includes the systematic networking of offers of assistance as well as the training and further education of therapists, doctors, police officers, rescue workers, pastors and educators. Together with Luise Reddemann , he developed the PITT-KID treatment method.

Krüger is the author of several books on the subject of trauma therapy in children, which have been extensively reviewed by the medical press and are considered standard works for interdisciplinary and multi-professional therapy. As an expert on the subject of trauma in children and adolescents, he took part in the 1st interdisciplinary symposium against domestic violence in educational backgrounds in 2008 in the House of Cultures in Berlin .

In 2008, Andreas Krüger founded Ankerland e. V., a network for traumatized children and young people. The Ankerland e. V. is an independent treatment network in which traumatized adolescents are treated with various forms of therapy such as making music , painting , dance and theater , regardless of clinical therapy . Krüger and the Ankerland e. V. are part of the so-called "Hamburg model", a network in which different professional groups, such as the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf , German Red Cross , White Ring , psychotherapists and youth psychologists work together in the context of trauma therapy. The children and adolescents affected should receive therapeutic help, above all, far away from regular hospital operations. In cooperation with the Hamburg school authorities , Ankerland is also active in preventing youth violence. In September 2011 the “Hamburg, wake up! Stop youth violence ”, a workshop for schoolchildren who have been victims of violence.
