Andreas Leiboldt

Andreas Leiboldt (the elder) (born November 25, 1561 in Lichtenstadt ; † February 23, 1614 ibid), was a Bohemian city judge, imperial tax collector and chronicler of Lichtenstadt.

Life

Andreas Leiboldt was born in Lichtenstadt on the 14th day after Martini in 1561 and was the only surviving son of the mayor of Lichtenstadt Lorenz Leiboldt (* around 1530 - † September 12, 1597 in Lichtenstadt) and his unnamed wife (* around 1529; †) April 4, 1607 in Lichtenstadt). Like his father, he learned the white tanning trade . For example, he reported "in 1557 to learn the craft of fasting at the same time". From 1589 to 1601 he bought several properties in Lichtenstadt. From May 11, 1600, he held the office of city judge in Lichtenstadt and also took on the role of imperial tax collector. He continued the Lichtenstadt Chronicle, which his father had started, from 1597 until his death in 1614. His sons include Johannes Leiboldt, chaplain in Leipzig, Georg and Lorenz Leiboldt , both mayors in Neudek and Andreas Leiboldt the Elder. J. City judge and mayor in Lichtenstadt, who continued the chronicle.

Andreas Leiboldt married Magdalena Kistler (* around 1557 in Lichtenstadt; † Monday after church consecration in 1629), the daughter of councilor Hans Kistler († November 2, 1611 in Lichtenstadt). The following children were born from the marriage:
