The Mosbytoppen ( Norwegian ) is a 670 m high and snowy mountain in the west of Bouvet Island in the South Atlantic . It rises 1.1 km northeast of the headland Norvegiaodden .
Participants in an expedition led by the Norwegian captain Harald Horntvedt (1879-1946) mapped him in December 1927 and gave him his name. It is named after the Norwegian oceanographer and meteorologist Håkon Mosby (1903–1989), a member of the expedition.
