Andreas M. Bräu (* 1986 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) is a German author, actor and presenter.

Career

writer

After short stories and shorter texts, he published his first volume of short stories, Culinary Stories from the Werdenfelser Land , in 2014 . In 2015, the first travel guide for Gmeiner-Verlag Streifzüge through Werdenfelser Land followed . This was followed by Das Beste south of Munich (2016) and Donau-Passau-Vienna (2020). In 2019 he published his debut novel Kavalier with EINBUCH Verlag.

Since his training at the small theater in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, he has played in productions on stage and in front of the camera. Under the direction of Tatjana Pokorny he was a. a. seen with Ladies Night and Die Fledermaus in the Oberland and on tour. Most recently he played the leading role of the Bavarian fairy tale king Ludwig II. In 2009 he made his debut in Munich at the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz in L'elisir d'amore . Since then he has appeared there and on guest appearances as an actor, dancer and acting statistic and was invited to the Bavarian Theater Days in Augsburg with Der Untergang des Haus Usher .

He shot several times for the series Dahoam is Dahoam of the Bavarian Radio , for documentaries on public and private television, for Japanese TV and various production companies.

Moderator

Since 2019 he has appeared regularly as Joseph von Fraunhofer for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft as the historical embodiment of the namesake in Germany and Italy. He moderates readings of his own and foreign literary texts, political discussions and has been a fasting preacher in the role of Father Andreas in Partenkirchen as a political cabaret artist for four years .

During the Corona crisis 2020, he started the basic cultural supply on his Facebook channel as a web series with readings and stories on the free stream.
